Freedom Institute Launches a New Afternoon Intensive Outpatient Program

Freedom Institute, the longest-standing independent, non-profit, outpatient addiction treatment and recovery center in New York City, is excited to announce the launch of its new Afternoon Intensive Outpatient Program, which will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.  This new IOP program option complements the existing morning IOP on the same days from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Nearly a decade ago, Freedom Institute was the first program in the New York City area to introduce the approach of integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Relational Family Therapy to treat substance use disorders. In the new IOP, we continue to offer this innovative programming to our community, and much more.  Freedom Institute offers holistic modalities such as yoga, auricular acupuncture, mindfulness meditation and art therapy, as well as trauma and gambling services.

Our team of experienced and multi-disciplinary therapists have completed training at Behavioral Tech and the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy, and we are proud of having the longest tenured clinical team in New York City, with an average of 8 years of service at Freedom Institute.
